Texas continuing education for life and health agents
Continuing education is a reliable two- or three-question cluster on the Texas law section. The numbers are few, which makes them easy points once memorized.
| Hours per license period | 24 (TIC 4004.053) |
| Ethics | 3 hours each renewal period (TIC 4004.054) |
| Classroom | At least 50% classroom or approved classroom-equivalent (TIC 4004.051) |
| Exempt | Agents continuously licensed for 20 years (TIC 4004.052) |
| Late | No renewal unless finished within 90 days after the period ends and fines paid (TIC 4004.055) |
| Limited lines | 5 hours a year (TIC 4004.053) |
Where the point is lost: Holding several licenses does not multiply the hours: 24 hours covers all of them for the period.
